Hayden just got his braces from Niles Orthodontics in Eugene and they definitely take some getting used to. He's excited about what the future holds and even through the COVID-19 pandemic, Hayden is finding ways to look for volunteer opportunities and getting ready to focus on his schoolwork after the summer vacation is over.
Besides the substantial in-kind credit from Dr. Niles, Hayden's braces are also funded by Spirit Mountain Community Fund - a fund that is owned and operated by Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde to serve all populations in the 11 counties they cover. Here's what Hayden sent to them:
"Dear Spirit Mountain Community Fund,
Thank you so much for helping me and my family. It means a lot to me to finally get braces on. I will feel less self-conscious about my teeth. I greatly appreciate the opportunity that you guys have given me. I feel like I will be more confident in myself knowing that I will have a great smile when I'm done. I think it's great that you guys have this program for kids, helping kids like me see hope.
Sincerely, Hayden"
Thank you for letting us share your story. You are an amazing person Hayden!
